Often when I procrastinate I do it by reading through science blogs. This way I feel less guilty (I tell myself it is sort of productive…). As a service to the public I give here my current favorite five:
Life in the city: evolution in an urbanizing world – updates and stories about the latest in urban evolution research
Dynamic ecology – a realy good (and realy popular) blog about a diversity of issues around ecology and science
Small pond science – not really about freshwater biology; it gives interesting perspectives, insights, and recommended reads on being an academic
Eco-Evo Evo-Eco – thoughts about stuff that happen in the world of ecology and evolution research
The last one is more specialized but also more than a blog:
Anole annals – everything you wanted to know about Anolis lizards and were afraid to ask (or didn’t even know this could be asked)
